future success.Role SummaryThe ADMT LLC has awesome teams
distributed across the US and Europe. As the Director of Software
Engineering, you will be responsible for the technical teams,
including building up new teams and structures. You support the
teams in finding the right balance between technical excellence,
maintaining a high customer focus and reliably deliver product
increments. The role includes technical leadership as well as
people management.Role ResponsibilitiesFleet Management System and
ADMT Cloud development
- Build, form and lead some world-class teams and their
engineering managers in a servant leadership style.
- Taking an active role in shaping and developing the tech
architecture and culture.
- Collaborate proactively with multiple (distributed) teams (US &
Europe).
- Influence the product roadmap for the ADMT US offer.
- Deliver SW products, microservices, architectures for the US Go
to market for ADMT for MaaS and TaaS offers.
- Translate business and product requirements in SW
solutions.
- Oversee all the SW production releases.
- Contribute to the SW development roadmap, strategic planning,
production rollout planning.
- Support in tailoring and deploying software tools, processes
and metrics.
- Create a culture to deploy software incrementally to meet very
fast-paced development.
- Develop strategy & technology competence and provide expertise
support to Global ADMT teams for Fleet Management solutions and
ADMT Cloud.
- Spearhead new in-house development projects for various
technical domains.
- Own the relationship with contract manufacturer, and lead
strategic discussions and negotiations.
- Manage supplier partnerships and engagements.
- Identify and mitigate project technology risks and execution
risks.
- Locate, acquire, and retain extraordinary talent for the
ramp-up phase of the Engineering Team and for future growth.
- Monitor compliance with relevant regulations, statutes, Board
Directives, process standards (including in respect of Golden Rules
and Product Compliance), procedural/operating instructions and
occupational safety regulations using appropriate management
controls (dual-control principle).
- Develop and monitor department budget.
- Assure the qualification of employees for the defined
tasks.Years of Relevant Experience:
- 10+ years of software development or relevant experience.
- 5 years' team leadership/management.Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or comparable education
required.
- Master's or PhD Degree in Engineering or comparable education
preferred.Required Specialized Skills:
- Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication
skills.
- Ability to work in high complex environments.
- Deep understanding of building digital products and modern
software development.
- Knowledge of software platform development and corresponding
software. Experienced with introduction into mass production of the
same.
- Deep understanding of typical vehicle EE architectures and
automotive development processes in connection with SW
technologies.
- Having a strong focus and past hands-on experts experience in
technical architecture and enabling teams in their delivery.
- Experience to establish a professional network within the
ecosystem of automotive suppliers and technology companies.
- Strong network in engineering community to hire extraordinary
talent SW development.Desired Specialized Skills:
- Expert Experience in SW architectures & development in
autonomous Ride Hailing/Ride Pooling technologies.
- VW Group system architecture and roadmap.
- Rapid prototyping and validation.
- Approaches for cloud oriented mobile internet
applications.
- User-interface architecture for mobile and automotive
systems.
- Ability to communicate on/to top-management level.
- Project management of large, complex multi-party projects.
- Cost-oriented business and technical skills.
- Management experience in shaping and leading a team of top-end
hardware and software system experts in computer technologies and
automotive electronics.Work Flexibility:Frequent travel to
worldwide locations required.The base salary range for this
position is between $250,000 - $280,000. There is also a generous
bonus structure, along with other benefits - including a company
