you on our team.POSITION SUMMARY:The Family Services Supervisor
supervises a team that determines eligibility and maintains ongoing
benefits for families applying to receive child care subsidies at
Children's Council. By fostering a positive, supportive work
environment that is focused and results-driven, the Supervisor
supports the Department's goal of providing swift, accurate service
delivery within the boundaries of a regulatory framework.Key

solver.RESPONSIBILITIES:PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION AND DEVELOPMENT:
- Supervise a team responsible for families' eligibility
determination and ongoing benefits maintenance/case
management.
- Maintain expertise in regulations, policy/procedure, and best
practices to support staff in decision-making.
- Provide daily support and monitoring of the team's service
outputs including client intakes, recertification, and customer
support.
- Provide escalated client service to resolve client complaints
or issues with child care benefits, payments, etc.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of
policy/procedural collateral, website content, and other
information portals to ensure all client-facing information is
current, accessible, and audience-appropriate.
- Prepare timely, accurate data reports related to quality
assurance, audits, or other needs as required.
- Play a key role in efforts to continuously improve services
through innovation and increasing efficiencies or outputs.
- Support manager by ensuring service delivery aligns with
organizational and department goals.
- Assume responsibilities of the Family Services Manager position
in their absence.STAFF RECRUITMENT, DEVELOPMENT, AND PERFORMANCE
MANAGEMENT:
- Orient new hires to their role, coordinate with program
training department to ensure the success of new hires.
- Develop staff to realize and perform at their full potential;
create opportunities for staff to expand their knowledge, skills,
and experience.
- Support Manager in the hiring and performance evaluation of
their staff.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.Required Minimal
Qualifications:
- Must be Bilingual in written and spoken English and Spanish.
Two to three years of proven performance and leadership experience
in child care subsidy administration; or child care-related work
may be considered as a substitute for this requirement.
- Some experience managing, leading and supervising a small
team.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills,
with the ability to work effectively with peers, staff, and
community partners.
- Ability to work well in an administrative capacity with
emphasis on number accuracy, hard deadlines, and internal systems
administration.
- Ability to work well in a service-oriented environment that
serves clients from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
- Commitment to social justice, empowerment of families and child
care providers.
- Competence with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and
master program administration software.
- Ability to critically analyze information from a variety of
sources.Physical requirements:
- Mental acuity to perform the essential functions of this
position in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Dexterity to use office equipment; the ability to sit and work
at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to speak, hear, and understand speech at normal room
